General Summary: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers positively; answer questions and resolve concerns. Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment. Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices. Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom. Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Support loss prevention efforts. Act as manager in absence of the Store Manager. Follow all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Retail management experience preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, etc. Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills in customer service, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
