General Summary As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Key duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Greets and assists customers positively, answering questions and resolving concerns. Maintains a clean, well-stocked store and provides excellent customer service. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance. Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from the stockroom. Supports ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Assists in loss prevention efforts. Acts as Manager in the absence of the Store Manager. Follows all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Retail management experience preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 55 lbs occasionally, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing. Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
