Job Description

Summary :

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for handling worker’s compensation administration, employee relations, training and development, benefits and leave administration, compensation, and assisting talent acquisition. This role manages adherence to State and Federal labor laws and administers company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages workers compensation administration for all locations
  • Manages leave of absence administration for all locations
  • Maintains organized record keeping for HR related documentation
  • Handles employee relations matters, including terminations and progressive discipline, supporting and guiding supervisors on all shifts
  • Performs WC Administration
  • Supports appraisals and performance management
  • Manages rewards and recognition programs, as necessary
  • Supports the interactive process and leaves of absence requests (FMLA, CFRA. WC, Etc.)
  • Assists with hourly and exempt-level professional recruiting activities to support the business needs
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • In absence of HR Manager, reviews payroll for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepares monthly HR/Finance Metrics Reports
  • Partners with HR team to answer questions regarding benefit plans and deliver open enrollment activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Language Skills (English/Spanish are a preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of CA and Federal employment-related laws
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of human resource generalist experience preferred
  • HR Certification is preferred
