Social Media Interns:

Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern (5 positions) for the fall semester to assist with strategy, content creation, engagement, and analytics for our educational initiatives and brand platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in college access and student success, digital storytelling, and social impact marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and schedule content for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok using Canva or other creative tools
  • Engage with online community through comments, reposts, and DMs
  • Monitor platform insights and analytics to assess engagement and growth
  • Assist with short-form video creation and editing (e.g., reels, stories, shorts)
  • Support social media campaigns tied to key educational events and programs
  • Stay updated on trends in education, Gen Z media use, and first-generation college student experiences

 

Public Relations Intern – Fall Semester

Internship Overview:

We’re looking for a professional and enthusiastic Public Relations Intern (4 positions) to support the visibility and outreach of our programs and media initiatives. This role is ideal for someone interested in educational PR, nonprofit communication, and brand reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and distribute press releases and media pitches
  • Maintain and update media contact lists
  • Research education influencers and thought leaders for collaborations
  • Monitor press coverage and compile media clippings
  • Assist in the planning and promotion of events (in-person and virtual)
  • Support the promotion of our founder’s published work and speaking engagements
  • Help build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and media outlets

 

Marketing Intern – Fall Semester

Internship Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Marketing Intern (4 positions) to help execute brand strategy, audience development, and promotional efforts. Perfect for someone passionate about social impact, education, and media-driven engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of marketing campaigns for new initiatives
  • Conduct market research on educational trends and competitor platforms
  • Create and manage email newsletters and campaigns
  • Draft marketing copy for social media, blog posts, and website content
  • Support analytics tracking for digital campaigns (social, web, email)
  • Coordinate promotional outreach to schools, partners, and stakeholders

Operations & Administrative Intern (3 positions)

  • Assist in day-to-day operations including scheduling, documentation, and team support

  • Help manage digital files, calendars, and intern communications

  • Support planning and logistics for internal projects and public events

  • Ideal majors: Business, Organizational Leadership, Project Management

Internship Details (All Roles):

  • Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: virtual and occasional in-person meetings or events)
  • Term: Fall Semester (August–December 2025)
  • Time Commitment: Minimum 2 days/week (16 hours); at least 3-month commitment required
  • Must be enrolled in college or eligible for school credit. This position is unpaid and only for school/internship credit.
  • Must have an interest in education, student development, and digital media

Qualifications (Preferred for All Roles):

  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office, and social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, or email platforms like Constant Contact is a plus
  • Self-starter with positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for education equity
