Job Description

Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV), established in 2009, provides superior program management, program support, strategic planning, and systems engineering to the Federal and Commercial sectors. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, ADV is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) contractor that has roots established in the Department of Defense and support agencies. At ADV, our company values are Integrity, Distinction, Experience and Achievement.

The FBI is dedicated to protecting U.S. citizens from terrorism, violent crime, espionage, and other national security threats. As part of this mission, the FBI Laboratory Division provides forensic analysis to support criminal and national security investigations. Within this division, the Laboratory Intelligence Unit (LIU) delivers critical intelligence to the FBI and the U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC), including analysis of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), facilitators, and supply chains.

To strengthen these efforts, the FBI established the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) in Huntsville, Alabama, which forensically examines IEDs used by terrorist networks. The FBI LIU plays a key role in intelligence gathering and dissemination to law enforcement, USIC, and international partners.

ADV seeks highly trained Intelligence Analysts (possessing ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearances with CI eligibility) to support the FBI LIU by providing operational intelligence services, including raw and tactical intelligence, threat analysis, and investigative leads. Analysts will contribute to intelligence products, reports, and briefings that enhance national security efforts and support FBI investigations.

Successful candidates must possess expertise in intelligence analysis, data exploitation, and report writing to support the identification and mitigation of threats to U.S. interests both domestically and internationally.

Location: This position is based at Redstone Arsenal, AL, and requires 100% on-site work between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM local time, with schedules determined by SCIF access and staggered shifts. Only candidates currently residing locally will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce required deliverables independently or, if directed by their SIA or UC, in collaboration with other intelligence personnel leveraging their USIC experience and functional expertise to gain and/or deepen their understanding of threats related to their assigned programs and must be able to develop intelligence exploitation, analysis, and production deliverables associated with their program, as assigned by their SIA or UC.
  • Identify raw intelligence for potential dissemination to IC partners, LE partners, or both and produce raw intelligence reports when appropriate.
  • Conduct research, data exploitation, and analysis at the tactical level of the scale of analysis and, as appropriate, communicate key findings or analytic assessments in tactical intelligence products and through oral briefings.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support national threat strategies.
  • Analyze, assimilate, and evaluate all available intelligence information relating to their assigned program.

· Prepare factual, non-analytic reports, as necessary, to include summaries.

  • Provide specialized intelligence and threat analysis and production support.
  • Access and perform research on designated automated intelligence databases for the purpose of identifying information of interest to the customer, downloading the identified information to an appropriate medium, and editing the information into format(s) to be specified by the customer.
  • Present briefings to personnel designated by the customer.
  • Draft ECs or summary reports to document fact-based research findings, receipts of information, or other facts not suitable for an intelligence product. Intelligence Analysts may draft other investigative supporting documents.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data and information from one or multiple sources into tactical intelligence products to identify new threat actors as subjects for investigations, previously unidentified target vulnerabilities, other government agencies or foreign liaison partners for coordination, private sector partners for coordination, and other entities as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Required clearance: an ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearance with CI eligibility
    • A minimum of three (3+) years of intelligence analysis work experience in the USIC writing raw and/or tactical intelligence products.
    • Experience and/or familiarity with intelligence requirements and processes.
    • Strong interpersonal ability, demonstrated by at least three years of experience working on a multi-disciplined team or within a team environment.
    • Strong editorial and grammar skills, demonstrated by at least two years of experience in copyediting, print-publishing, or other writing-heavy responsibilities.
    • At least five years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite products, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Strongly Desired:

  • Previous military, law enforcement, or other federal government/non-USIC experience
  • Science or technical background
  • Experience having certified release authority to release and/or disseminate intelligence products
