Job Description

At Simply Yachts, LLC, part of Bluwater Group’s distinguished Maritime Division, our journey began with a shared love for the water and a vision to redefine the boating experience. We understand that while the allure of the sea captivates many, the intricacies of maintaining a boat can be less appealing. Our diverse team, ranging from seasoned mega-yacht captains to expert deep-water divers and skilled yacht refinishers, brings a comprehensive perspective to boating. We are currently looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic to add to our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of marine engines and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on inboard and outboard motors, transmissions, and other marine components.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
  • Install and repair boat systems, including steering, electrical, plumbing, and propulsion systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in marine technology and repair techniques.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in marine mechanics preferred.
  • Proven experience as a marine mechanic or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine engine systems, including inboard and outboard motors.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license
