Job Summary: Refuel is a fast-growing company that relies heavily on market research and consumer insights. We’re searching for a Marketing Data Analyst Intern to join our expanding team. A Marketing Data Analyst intern assists with management of data within the marketing department to identify trends and generate meaningful insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement to the marketing strategy. This job involves the management of raw data to create visualizations and reports for continuous improvement to the execution of company strategies.
Marketing Data Analyst Intern
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resources
• Regular attendance, punctuality, physical on-site attendance (if applicable), adherence to the Company’s established policies and the team member handbook.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Conduct routine data analysis using tools such as Excel and Power BI to support ongoing initiatives.
• Build interactive, internal-facing dashboards in Power BI that track key metrics and promote transparency.
• Support the development of data visualizations and reports.
• Draft and edit clear, engaging written communications for internal audiences.
• Maintain and update high-level dashboards to reflect progress on Marketing priority initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of statistical principles and data storytelling.
• Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and using data to support strategic planning or marketing efforts.
• Generate meaningful insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement to the marketing strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to take initiative while also following direction.
• Creative mindset with a passion for finding new ways to communicate and engage with audiences.
Education and Experience:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student in fields such as Data Science, Marketing, or related.
• Experience in marketing preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of statistical principles and data storytelling.
• Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and using data to support strategic planning or marketing efforts.
• Knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work cross functionally between all departments.
Working environment and physical requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25%.
