ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent internship opportunity in our Marketing Department at the Sames Auto Arena. The successful intern will assist the Marketing Department team members in the day-to-day marketing of the Sames Auto Arena and event-related activities. Major responsibilities include assisting team members with the concept, development, and delivery of marketing materials; brainstorming new innovative ways to market/promote upcoming shows; assisting with regular social media postings; flyer & poster distribution and other grassroots efforts; conducting administrative duties such as filing, logging, spreadsheet & database maintenance; assisting during events at the survey station; performing other duties and participating in special projects as assigned. Skills and abilities required include excellent customer service skills, professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, creativity, proactivity, assertiveness, and the ability to work nights and weekends as event schedules require. Education requirement is current enrollment at a four-year college or university in a Marketing or Communication internship course with evidence of enrollment and credits to be earned. The position reports to the Director of Marketing at Sames Auto Arena.
