About the Job:

We are a Christian Faith-Based Organization searching for an office assistant to work for a private practice, with a true heart to serve God. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination which include, authorizations, billing and coding claims.
  • Maintain office calendar to coordinate work-flow and meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality (HIPPA) in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Answer telephones and transfer to the appropriate staff member.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
  • Manage Staff Case Assignments and the assurance of proper documentation.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
  • File and retrieve organizational documents, records, and reports.
  • Update and ensure client charts meet state standards.
  • Set up and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, and Management.
  • Liaison between Managers and staff, clients, insurance companies, partner companies.
  • Keep up with Intakes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer literate; knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Spreadsheet.
  • Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Experience:

  • 2 years experience as an office assistant.
  • Billing and Coding Experience is a plus as well as knowledge in the Mental Health Field.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Pay:

  • Pay is $16, part-time time hours, per hour a week (Monday - Friday).
  • This is a contractor position but is permanent and ongoing.
