Position Description

Job Title: Part-Time Clinical Supervisor, PAU eClinic

Department: eClinic, DASA

Reports To: Krystle Herbert

Location: Remote

Employment Status: Part time, less than 21 hours per week

Summary

The Part-Time Clinical Supervisor at PAU eClinic is responsible for providing clinical supervision, training, and evaluation of counseling, psychological, and assessment services provided by student trainees. These services are provided to promote PAU student training as clinicians and oversee their care of clients' personal development and psychological well-being. Trainees are expected to hold a client load of 5-10 clients depending on their degree program.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

1. Clinical Supervision

  • Provide clinical supervision of student trainees that meets requirements set forth by PAU programs accredited by APA or CACREP.
  • Provide clinical supervision of student trainees that meets requirements set forth by the California Board of Psychology or California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Train the supervisee(s) on session documentation.
  • Review, edit, and verify clinical documentation.

2. Technology and Risk Management

  • Be familiar with technological adjuncts to psychotherapy and provide supervision on the use of these technological adjuncts in clinical care.
  • Be available for risk consultation and risk management.

3. Supervision Meetings and Video Review

  • Have weekly individual supervision meetings of at least 1 hour per week.
  • Review video-recorded sessions of students' clients via the eClinic secure digital platform (Eleos).

4. Professional Development and Documentation

  • Select readings for students to expand their clinical understanding and expertise.
  • Provide timely review and approval of hours logs and other required documentation for practicum or internship.
  • Maintain their CA state license and supervisor credentials.

5. eClinic Participation

  • Attend monthly eClinic advisory meetings.
  • Participate in monthly eClinic seminars.

6. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of California (Psychologist, LMFT, LPCC).
  • Eligible to provide supervision according to California law.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision to graduate-level trainees.
  • Proficiency in using digital platforms for clinical supervision and training.
