Overview:

Harborside Hotel is seeking a skilled and personable Bartender to join our hospitality team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale environment and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences through quality service and craft cocktails.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard recipes.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with local and state regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and supplies.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and reconcile tabs accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist in restocking, and help with ordering as needed.
• Recommend cocktails or beverages based on guest preferences and upsell when appropriate.
• Contribute creative ideas for seasonal or specialty drinks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of bartending or mixology experience, ideally in a hotel, restaurant, or upscale bar.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient with the Toast POS system and cash handling procedures.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to serve alcohol.
• TIPS or other alcohol service certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
• Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
