We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic to join our team.

Position Overview:

  • Assembly & Joining: Assemble and join ductwork components using welding, soldering, or mechanical fastening techniques.

  • Ductwork Installation: Install ductwork in commercial or residential buildings, ensuring proper alignment and connection of sections.

  • Insulation: Insulate ductwork to prevent heat loss or gain and reduce noise transmission.

  • Sealing & Maintenance: Seal joints and connections with appropriate sealants or tapes to ensure air-tightness, and inspect and repair ductwork for leaks, damage, or corrosion.

  • Accessory Installation: Install dampers, grilles, registers, and other accessories as required by design specifications.

  • Testing & Balancing: Test and balance the airflow in the ductwork system to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain ductwork systems to ensure proper airflow and prevent the buildup of dust or contaminants.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other team members to ensure the proper integration and functioning of HVAC systems.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic or in a similar role within the HVAC industry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and maintenance procedures.

  • Proficient in using tools such as shears, saws, and bending machines.

  • Experience with welding, soldering, and mechanical fastening techniques.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required).

Physical Requirements:
