Job Description

A Special Education Teacher is needed to provide on-site support as an Intervention Specialist in an educational setting located in Cardington, OH. This position is a contract role for the upcoming school year (NSY) focused on delivering tailored educational interventions for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
• Deliver direct instruction and intervention strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure effective integration and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, progress, and modifications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, evaluations, and staff training sessions to support continuous improvement.
• Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and intervention approaches.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with intervention specialist responsibilities.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and educators.
• Ability to design and implement individualized interventions effectively.
