Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Opportunity:
My client is a well-established engineering firm with over a century of experience delivering top-tier infrastructure and building solutions. They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in either their Baltimore, MD or Fairfax, VA office. This role will focus on the design and construction of complex electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities-including mission-critical and sustainable buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead medium to large-scale electrical engineering projects with a focus on quality and innovation.
Collaborate closely with clients, internal AE teams, and sub-consultants to drive project success.
Prepare fee proposals, manage project budgets, and ensure timely delivery.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Utilize Revit and modeling tools to design lighting and power systems across various sectors.
Maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the design and construction process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland or Virginia (or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
16+ years of progressive experience, including leadership and project management roles.
Demonstrated experience with government, military, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Proficiency in Revit and power system analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM.
LEED BD+C accreditation preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance may be necessary.
Excellent communication, organization, and mentoring skills.
Strong reputation as a collaborative and highly capable engineering professional.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $100,000 - $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
