Job Title: Internal Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our internal accounting team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Internal CPA will be responsible for managing all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax planning, and compliance with local and federal regulations. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of Puerto Rican tax laws and regulations, as well as experience working with local businesses and government agencies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures in compliance with Puerto Rican and federal regulations.• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.• Manage the company's budget and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and cost control measures.• Oversee the company's tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns and filings with government agencies.• Coordinate and manage external audits and assist in the resolution of any accounting issues identified during the audit process.• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by management.• Monitor and report on the company's cash flow and working capital management activities.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing.• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar role.• Strong knowledge of Puerto Rican tax laws and regulations.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
